George Mark Children’s House and Hinds Hospice receive much needed funding.
At its 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament banquet on July 13,2012, The Markie Foundation disbursed a total of $20,000 to two children’s hospice organizations, including:
- $15,000 to George Mark Children’s House to support its much needed sibling bereavement program
- $5,000 check to Hinds Hospice to support the organization’s pediatric hospice services
“On behalf of our many generous donors, we are honored to present these funds to two amazing organizations that share in our mission to support terminally ill children and their familes,” said co-founder Janis Wuelfing. “Our son Markie’s life continues to touch others in remarkable ways, and we are blessed to have such a strong group of supporters and partners to help us fulfill our mission.”
