2026 golf tournament recap

On Friday, June 26, 2026, The Markie Foundation hosted its 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton, California. 120 golfers, as well as several dinner guests, came together to help raise money for terminally ill children and their families. Combined with additional donations, proceeds from this year’s event have bumped our overall fundraising to more than $850,000 since inception, the majority of which has been distributed to multiple beneficiaries (see more below).

Foundation Disburses Another $25,000 to Three Beneficiaries
During the dinner banquet, The Markie Foundation announced its initial 2026 disbursements to three beneficiaries:

$10,000 to George Mark Children’s House for ongoing operations to ensure sick children and families continue to receive the specialized care and treatment needed;.
$7,500 to Kara for grief therapy and services for children, teens, and their families experiencing the death of a loved one.
$7,500 to Hinds LifeCare for ongoing support of their Angel Babies and HindsKids pediatric hospice programs.

Representatives from George Mark Children’s House, Kara, and Hinds LifeCare were in attendance to share their gratitude and demonstrate the impact The Markie Foundation is having through its support of invaluable children’s hospice and pediatric palliative care services.

With remaining donations and proceeds from the event, we plan to make even more disbursements this year, to be announced in the future. This demonstrates the impact our generous supporters have on others in need, as well as The Markie Foundation’s overall success.
