Golf Tourney

Update on July 29: Golf tournament CANCELED. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic and challenge of hosting a group event during this time, we’ve decided to cancel The Markie Foundation 21st Annual Charity Golf Tournament. We look forward to joining together again in 2021 for this annual event. In the meantime, we ask for your continued support through donations, as we strive to raise $20,000 in 2020 for terminally ill children and their families. Donate online here

Each year, The Markie Foundation hosts its annual charity golf tournament to benefit children’s hospice. This is our largest fundraiser of the year–and a great time out for all those involved.

Our 21st* Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for Friday, July 9, 2021, at Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton, CA. (* Our originally scheduled 21st in 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19.)

A special THANK YOU to Clif Bar, KPMG, EC Telecom, and TRU-FRAME for their Platinum Sponsorship in 2019!

Founders Letter

The Markie Foundation was established in July 1999 to honor our son Mark Warren Wuelfing, who died a four months of age from a sever neurological disorder. Our purpose is to raise money for children’s hospice programs in Northern California and to help other families receive the quality hospice services needed while caring for a terminally ill child at home. To date, we have raised approximately $400,000 towards this cause, thanks to our many generous supporters.

We are excited to host our 20th Annual Charity Golf Tournament — a milestone event! — as we continue to grow and support children’s hospice. We look forward to you participating and helping us continue to make a difference in the lives of terminally ill children and their families.

– Janis and Joe Wuelfing, Markie’s Parents
